A man in his late teens has been taken to hospital after he lost control of his ute, flipping it near the Bruce Highway.
Emergency services were called to a crash on Miclere Farleigh Rd, near the Bruce Highway turn off in Glenella at around 7.50am, Wednesday morning.
The driver, reported to be in a stable condition, appeared to have driven into a ditch off the side before his ute flipped.
The driver was heading north bound towards Farleigh, a town outside of Mackay.
Roads remained open and the driver was able to free himself from the ute, escaping with only minor injuries.
It comes less than 12 hours after a horrific crash sent a 79 year old male to hospital with cuts after flipping his car into the Bruce Highway guard rails.
That was only 500 metres away from this morning’s crash.
Roads were closed for up to an hour yesterday as emergency crew and tow trucks worked to clear the scene.
It is the third car rollover in Mackay in two days.
