The Edmund Casey bridge leading to the Mackay Base Hospital was closed in both directions following a crash between a car and a truck.
Queensland police confirmed they were called to the Glenella Connection Rd at 10.40am, closing the road by 11am.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said two patients were transported to the hospital after the crash suffering neck and back pain, both of which were in the car.
The person in the truck was being assessed as of 11.30am, with no obvious injuries.
Queensland Live Traffic notes the Glenella Connection Road is closed between Lansdowne Rd and Old Foulden Rd, with all lanes blocked in all directions - but the Daily Mercury has confirmed it has since been reopened.
The Live Traffic website placed the crash on the south side, just outside the hospital.
