An afternoon three-car crash on the Bruce Highway blocked both lanes to traffic, just north of Mackay, but has since reopened.
Queensland Police were called to The Leap, near Napalo Rd around 2.40pm, arriving to find all the passengers safely out of their vehicles.
While traffic control had managed to get one lane flowing, both lanes were blocked as of 3.20pm, a police spokeswoman said.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said four patients were assessed at the scene of the crash.
A woman in her 50s suffered chest and knee pain, a woman in her 60s walked away with minor lacerations, and a man in his 80s suffered from chest pains, she said.
They were all taken to Mackay Base Hospital.
The road was reopened to traffic just before 4pm.
