A security worker had her hair pulled and was threatened with a shopping trolley in an alarming incident at Caneland Central on Wednesday.
Mackay police are appealing to the public to assist them in identifying a woman allegedly involved in the assault.
Police allege the incident occured in the carpark of a shopping centre along Mangrove Road, about 10am on January 25, where an unknown woman attacked a security worker.
It is alleged the woman threatened the worker with a trolley before advancing toward her and pulling her hair.
Police are appealing for information from the public to identify the woman to help with their preliminary investigations.
In a separate incident, police are seeking assistance over a house break-in at Andergrove and the theft of a car.
Police believe an offender broke into a home on Fatnowa Street by cutting through mesh screening and manually unlocking a sliding door.
From there a set of car keys were stolen and the offender(s) stole a green coloured 2008 model dual cab Toyota Hilux with the registration plate 237 KYG from the property.
Police say car keys remain a highly sought-after item for thieves and are encouraging vehicle owners to store them in secure and out of sight locations within the home.
Anyone with information about either incident is encouraged to contact police as soon as possible.
