Central Qld senior constable police officer faces drug charges
A male senior constable from a region stretching from Mackay to Gladstone has been suspended from duty as he prepares to face court over alleged drug offences.

A Queensland senior constable has been suspended from duty after being charged for alleged drug-related offences.
The 30-year-old male from the Central Region policing district – which covers Mackay, Rockhampton and Gladstone – is due to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on May 8.
The Queensland Police Service has not provided his name, but states the officer “has been suspended from duty”.
“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct,” the QPS states.
