Hundreds were left without power after a B-double truck veered off the road, crashed onto its side and collided with power poles.
Paramedics were called to the intersection of the Bruce Hwy and Myrtlevale Rd about 4.45pm Sunday following reports of the rollover.
An Ergon Energy spokesman said 214 customers had been affected by the power cut.
“Crews were expecting that because of the extensive damage,” he said.
The majority of those homes had power restored throughout the night, with the remaining 80 customers expected to have their power switched back on by 4pm today.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the driver of the truck, a man in his 40s, was able to free himself from the wreck and escaped with “head, neck and abdominal pain”.
He was then taken to Proserpine Hospital with only minor injuries.
The cabin of the truck managed to stay up right during the crash with both trailers flipping causing the extent of the damage.
Police blocked the road to all traffic with diversions put in place while emergency crew assessed the crash.
The road re-opened to all traffic about 11pm last night.
