With the public holiday falling on a Tuesday, we've compiled everything you need to know about what's open in case you need to make a mad dash to the shops.

SHOPPING CENTRES

Caneland Central: 9am to 5.30pm

Mount Pleasant Shopping Centre: 10am to 4pm

 

GROCERY STORES

Coles at CBD, Parkside, Mount Pleasant, Northern Beaches: 9am to 6pm

Woolworths at Sarina, Mount Pleasant, Walkerston, Andergrove, Caneland and Rural View: 9am to 6pm

Peries IGA West Mackay: Open 24 hours

IGA North Mackay: 6am to 9pm

Council Customer Service Centres at Mackay, Mirani and Sarina:

Australia Day Tuesday: CLOSED

Reopening 8.30am Wednesday, January 28

 

Artspace Mackay:

Australia Day Tuesday: 10am to 5pm

 

Libraries:

Australia Day Tuesday: CLOSED, but open normal hours otherwise

Bluewater Lagoon:

Memorial Swim Centre:

Australia Day Tuesday: 6am to 7pm

Mackay Regional Council waste services and collections are open as normal, even on the public holidays.
