AN ANDERGROVE woman accused of armed robbery and burglary with violence has forgone a trial and is due to be sentenced in the District Court.

Jacentah Emma-Jane Bobongie, 29, of Andergrove had her case mentioned in the District Court in Mackay on Monday.

Bobongie has been charged with armed robbery in company with personal violence, burglary in company with violence and property damage, and car theft.

The charges are dated to December 26, 2016 at Mackay, and no pleas have officially been entered.

Bobongie, who is free on bail, was due to take the matters to trial.

However, in the District Court, defence barrister Bronwyn Hartigan said Bobongie will instead be sentenced.

Bobongie will have to enter pleas of guilty if that sentence is to proceed.

Judge Brad Farr set down the sentencing hearing for later this week in the court.
