It’s the spookiest weekend of the year and there’s no shortage of events to get your annual fright in Brisbane this Halloween.

But whether you want to take the kids for a family-friendly scare or you’re looking to get the real deal, there’s plenty on offer.

Victoria Park Halloween Putt Putt

Running from October 28 to October 31, Victoria Park in Herston is running its infamous Halloween putt putt nights full of creepy decorations and scary zombie-themed feature holes.

Blackwood St Halloween Festival

This Sunday October 30, Blackwood St in Mitchelton will turn into the scariest street in town with rides, stalls, live music and food and drink as the street shuts down from 1.30pm to 7.30pm.

Redcliffe Markets Festival of Frights

On Saturday October 29, Redcliffe Markets’ special Halloween event will showcase some of the best street eats, live music and fun and games all with a terrifying twist.

Brisbane Halloween Ghost Tours

If you take your scares seriously, go on one of the various cemetery tours across Brisbane including Ipswich, Toowong, Boggo Rd, South Brisbane, Nundah and Lutwyche to uncover Queensland’s haunted history on October 28 to October 30 from 6.30pm to 10.30pm.

Halloween at Eat Street

Brisbane’s favourite food markets are getting a Halloween makeover with three nights of costumes and decorations to transform into Nightmare of Eat St from October 28 to October 30 from 4pm to 9pm.

The Morgue

A maze, sensory tent, games, food trucks and a lolly cannon will all make an appearance at the terrifying Morgue on Kumbari St in Rochedale where events will take place on Friday and Saturday from around 5pm to 8pm.

Halloween Candy Carnival

Families should rush to Stafford City Shopping Centre during Halloween day this year to dress up in crazy costumes, get their faces painted and enjoy the special effects on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 1pm.

BEST TRICK OR TREATING LOCATIONS

Howl-o-ween at Lone Pine

Enjoy some creepy encounters with scaly friends and get out to nature this Halloween as the Bubble Bubble Toil & Trouble show kicks off at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary this Sunday and Monday at 10am and 11.30am.

Halloween in Bald Hills

This event is the perfect family-friendly event with a trick or treat walk, stalls, face painting, haunted house, sausage sizzle and even free fairy floss and popcorn on Saturday from 4pm to 9pm on Rothbury St in Bald Hills.

Saturday Spooktacular at Murarrie

This family-friendly event is the perfect place to get your Saturday scaries out with food trucks, entertainment, carnival rides and a photo booth, plus a 6pm screening of Transylvania on the big screen in Murarrie Recreational Park from 3pm to 9pm.
