Lanes blocked on Bruce Highway after truck, car crash

Three crashes crash in just hourshave caused major delays on the Bruce Hwy north of Brisbane and Pacific Motorway to the south.

A traffic crash on the Bruce Highway where one car rolled has caused traffic mayhem, after two separate crashes earlier today.

Delays of up to 45 minutes were experienced in the northbound lanes at Naranga while paramedics assess those involved.

They subsequently transported two stable patients to Caboolture Hospital.

The crash has now been cleared.

It comes after another crash on the Pacific Motorway at Beenleigh, which has since been cleared.

Earlier, one lane was closed on the Bruce Highway after a truck and car collided near Gympie. It is one of several crashes on the wet roads as the southeast is hit with heavy rain.

Paramedics attended a crash at Bells Bridge just before 11.20am where the truck had veered across the road and blocked both lanes near the intersection with the Wide Bay Highway.

Congestion in the area was heavy while the southbound lane of the Bruce Highway was closed.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

Police have warned of another incident 200m north of the Bells Bridge exit that is causing delays in Gympie.

Travellers have been asked by police to avoid the area or expect delays up to 20 minutes.

There have been several crashes on southeast roads today as drivers navigate wet conditions.

The Gateway Mwy was seeing delays after a two-vehicle crash at Belmont.

The crash happened in southbound lanes about 11.40am.

Queensland Ambulance Service said three patients were taken to Queensland Children’s Hospital and another two to the PA Hospital, all in stable conditions.

A multi-vehicle crash on the Pacific Mwy at Holland Park West just after 11.10am caused minor delays in northbound lanes.

One person was taken to the PA Hospital in a stable condition.

Further north paramedics assessed two patients at the scene of a single-vehicle crash at Mooloolaba about 11.35am.

It came after two patients were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in stable conditions following a rollover on Eumundi Kenilworth Rd at Eerwah Vale just after 11am.

In Browns Plains, one person was taken stable to Logan Hospital after a crash on Browns Plains Rd about 9.40am.

Two patients were taken to Kingaroy Hospital in stable conditions after a two-vehicle crash on Bunya Hwy and Wondai Proston Rd about 9.20am.

Earlier, one person was taken to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition after a single-vehicle crash on the Burnett Hwy just after 9am.

In Brisbane, one person was taken stable to the RBWH after a vehicle crashed into a tree on Old Northern Rd at Everton Park about 8.50am.

Earlier, one person was taken to Kingaroy Hospital stable after a single-vehicle rollover on Old Esk North Rd at Nanango about 7am.
