Another new retailer has set up shop at the new Yamanto Central shopping centre, adding to the already extensive array of businesses.
Elm Lifestyle, which opened at the centre this month, is Australian brand originating from Melbourne, and boasts an energetic mix of fashion, gifts and homewares.
The relatively young retailer has 15 stores in mostly regional areas of Australia.
Their plan is to double their stores to 30 by the end of the year, appearing in locations such as Yamanto Central.
“Elm Lifestyle is considered one of Australia’s most exciting up and coming fashion and lifestyle brands and we are absolutely delighted that they have chosen to launch their first store in Queensland with us,” JMK Retail general manager Vicki Leavy said.
“They are conveniently located next door to Kmart on our main shopping level and will provide shoppers with a brilliant range of offerings including women’s fashion with sizes ranging from size 6 to 22.
Plans to open an outdoor dining precinct are going ahead as planned and the area should be ready in a few months.
With only a handful of leasing opportunities available, businesses interested in opening at Yamanto Central are encouraged to reach out to JMK Retail.
“Yamanto Central is already a huge success with projected sales targets being exceeded every week,” Ms Leavy said.
“We knew the centre would be popular, and what we are finding is that not only is it proving to be a huge hit for locals across the area, people are coming from much further afield to visit.
“We have more incredible brands to announce over the coming weeks. In addition, the outdoor covered dining precinct that will accommodate some 300 people is also on track to open in a few months.
“We’d like to think we are setting the standard for retail in 2021. Shoppers want to shop local and they enjoy the ability to have everything they need at their fingertips in one easy to access location with plenty of free parking.”
Yamanto Central has continued to add to its list of new retailers since opening in April.
There are currently 24 retailers operating, with more to be announced.
Here is who else has opened recently.
Coles and Kmart
Anchor tenants Coles and Kmart were the first to welcome shoppers in April.
They were joined by Prouds The Jewellers, The Coffee Club, Clear Skincare, Yamanto Central Patisserie, Smokemart and GiftBox and Concierge Car Wash, who all opened in the first week.
The new Kmart store has employed 195 people and the Coles has a team of about 80, of which about 30 have came from existing supermarkets.
The Coles features new store concepts including the pet food pick-and-mix bar, which is the first of its kind in the Ipswich region, and the revamped deli layout which is only in one other store in Queensland.
Skechers and Platypus
Footwear shops Skechers and Platypus opened in June, shortly before the arrival of men’s clothing brand Connor, Q&A Nails
and activewear brand Rockwear.
Rackley Swim School and Club Lime gym
Health and wellness brand Club Lime was among the latest in big names to set up shop at Yamanto Central Shopping Centre.
Club Lime, operated under the Viva Leisure group, is located on the centre’s upper level and operate on a 24/7 basis.
Viva Leisure secured two sites at Yamanto Central with its sister operation HIIT Republic opening earlier this in June.
In July, Rackley Swim School opened its 27th southeast Queensland venue at Yamanto Central.
The facility features two heated pools.
