Woman hospitalised and traffic delayed after car crash at North Ipswich

A two-vehicle crash at North Ipswich has left a woman in hospital and traffic delayed.

A woman is in hospital and traffic is delayed following a two-vehicle crash at North Ipswich.

Police were called to the intersection of Downs and Lawrence Streets about 12.50pm, where a sedan and a four-wheel drive had collided.

Paramedics arrived and assessed two patients, transporting a woman who suffered a seatbelt-related injury to Ipswich Hospital.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said she was in a stable condition.

Police remained at the site for some time as the crash caused a “traffic hazard”.

Queensland Fire and Rescue Service crews also attended.
