Chaos erupted on the streets of Goodna south west of Brisbane after the victim of a robbery allegedly spotted his attackers.

About 20 people were involved in the violent brawl along Hulett St, which left two teenagers in hospital.

Channel 7 News reported the street fight was sparked by an alleged robbery after the victim spotted his attackers on Saturday night, November 26, at 9.45pm.

Police could not confirm if the robbery was linked to the altercation.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said critical care paramedics rushed to the scene to treat a man with leg injuries after receiving a report that he had been hit by a car and he was transported to the Princess Alexandra in a stable condition.

Another man in his late teens was also injured during the incident, the QAS spokeswoman said he was taken to the Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition with injuries to his shoulder.

According to police officers attempted to talk to those involved but no one would talk.

“Initial investigations indicated a person may have been struck by a car, however none of those present at the time had injuries consistent with that claim,” a spokesman said.

“Further inquiries [were] conducted with two men transported to hospital have indicated their injuries were possibly sustained during the initial physical disturbance.”

CCTV footage obtained by Channel 7 News showed a speeding car was involved but no collision was captured.

The police spokesman said officers remained on scene for more than an hour to keep the peace and mitigate any further altercations.

“Police canvassed all parties present and no complaint has been forthcoming in relation to the matter,” he said.

“[We] strongly encourage anyone involved in the altercation who wishes to provide further information, or make a complaint, to come forward.”
