Ipswich Police have revealed which local areas criminals are targeting with break ins, burglaries and car-related crimes.

In the past week, property crime has been reported across Silkstone, East Ipswich, Wulkuraka, Newtown and North Ipswich.

Two thirds of the incidents occurred in East Ipswich, with offenders trawling cars and work vehicles and helping themselves to money, power tools and medication.

Here are 15 property crimes Ipswich Police are currently investigating:

East Ipswich:

Guitar stolen

Offenders targeted a Jacaranda Street business between August 6 and 9, damaging the back door in order to get in.

Police said a guitar and other personal items were stolen.

Offenders entered the premises between 12am August 6 and 7am August 9.

Medication nicked

Medication was stolen along with other personal items from a car parked on Cotton Street.

Police said offenders carried out the crime during a ten-minute window between 3.50am and 4am on Sunday.

While at the scene, offenders attempted to enter another car at the same address but failed.

Marcel Street

On Tuesday, personal items were discovered stolen from a car parked on Marcel Street.

Offenders searched the car sometime between 4.30pm on Monday and 5am on Tuesday morning.

Cardew Street

Police said a small amount of money was stolen from a car parked at an East Ipswich address.

The car, which was secured in a garage on Cardew Street, was searched between 12am, Saturday and 12am Sunday.

In a separate incident, an offender searched inside another three cars at a property on Cardew Street, between 4am and 6.30am on Sunday.

Nothing was reported to be stolen.

Earlier, between 12.20am Saturday and 12.05am Sunday, offenders broke into a different car on the same street, again not removing anything.

Joyce Street

Items have been recovered after they were reported stolen from a car parked in East Ipswich.

Police said offenders entered two cars at a Joyce Street address between 11.30pm on Saturday night and 8.30am Sunday morning.

Personal items were reported as having been stolen from both cars but have since been found.

Two other cars were targeted on Joyce Street during the same time frame, with personal items stolen from both vehicles.

Between 12.10am on Saturday and 12.05am Sunday, a car was broken into and searched.

Earlier that day, between 9.30am and 7am Sunday, another car was searched.

Items have not been recovered.

Jacaranda Street

Several hand-powered tools were among personal items stolen from a vehicle parked at a Jacaranda Street address.

Offenders gained access to the car some time between 10.30pm, Saturday and 7am, Sunday morning.

Other locations:

Silkstone

A handbag containing personal items and a pair of sunglasses was nicked from a home in Silkstone.

Police said offenders struck sometime between 11pm on Saturday night and 1am on Sunday morning, entering the Russell Street property by unknown means.

Wulkuraka

A front door was left damaged after offenders broke into a Wulkuraka home on Toongarra Road.

Police said the offenders stole several hand tools and carried out the crime some time between 12pm Saturday and 6am Monday.

North Ipswich

A registration plate was removed from a car parked on The Terrace in North Ipswich in a brazen daylight crime.

Offenders carried out the crime some time between 7am and 5pm on Sunday.

Newtown

Personal items were stolen from two cars parked at Newtown properties.

Offenders broke into a car parked on Queen Street some time between 4am on Sunday and 12am Monday.

On Whitehill Road, a second car was targeted between 10am on Sunday and 7.30am on Monday.
