Police have charged two men over an attempted armed robbery after tracking them to a Westfield carpark in Brisbane’s south, in a dramatic arrest captured in police body worn camera footage.

Police tracked two men to Westfield Carindale following an attempted armed burglary in Ipswich yesterday, January 22.
The dramatic arrest was captured on police body worn camera footage, showing officers chasing the men on foot to a nearby Ampol service station.
Police will allege that a group of men armed with weapons attended an address on Grace Street, Wulkuraka, yesterday around 10.15am.
It’s alleged they forced entry to the property through a side yard, before later fleeing the scene in a stolen white Mitsubishi ASX.
Nothing was taken, and the occupants of the home were not physically injured.
Police and Polair tracked the vehicle to a carpark at Westfield Carindale on Creek Road, where the vehicle was abandoned.
Two men were taken into custody.
Police also allegedly located a firearm inside a backpack that one of the men was carrying, which can be seen in the video.
A 25-year-old man has been charged with one count each of trespass, wilful damage, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possess explosives, unlawful possession of a weapon.
He is due to appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court today, January 23.
A 27-year-old Coominya man has been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving, obstruct police, trespass, unlawful possession of a weapon, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, wilful damage.
He was refused police bail and is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today, January 23.
Investigations are continuing to locate a third man believed to be involved in the incident.
