Man in hospital after family escapes caravan fire at Camira Freedom Lifestyle park
Police and fire investigators are poring over ashes at an Ipswich caravan park today, where a family narrowly escaped an early morning blaze which gutted their mobile home overnight.

A family has narrowly escaped a fire which gutted a caravan and its annex at an Ipswich caravan park overnight.
Two adults and two children were able to get out of the caravan they were living in at the Camira Freedom Lifestyle Park in Baker St just after 1.30am, before fireys arrived.
They were taken to Ipswich Hospital for assessment.
A man was also taken, in a stable condition, to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services fire investigators were poring over the ashes of the fire on Thursday morning after two crews secured the park, which has about 80 permanent sites.
QFES said it was too early to determine what caused the early morning blaze but investigators were scrutinising the remnants of the van and annex, and a car, which managers said were destroyed.
The popular caravan park is has sites for permanent caravans with hard annexes and is about two minutes from the Logan Motorway, linking to Darra, Carole Park, Goodna and Springfield.
Local shops are a short 300m walk and only 1.9km to shopping centre including Woolworths, BWS, Post Office, Pizza Hut, Bakery, Subway, Medical Centre, Chemist, McDonalds and Red Rooster.
