Major traffic crash at Newtown in Ipswich under investigation
Detectives and the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating after a vehicle involved in a major accident this morning was allegedly linked to an earlier robbery.

THREE people are in hospital and one a major road is closed following a crash allegedly involving a vehicle of interest in a robbery case.
Police say two vehicles collided at the corner of Frederick St and Brisbane Rd at Newtown, Ipswich, about 9.45am.
Two people were taken to the PA Hospital and one was taken to Ipswich Hospital, all in a stable condition.
Police shut Brisbane Rd and diverted traffic via Montauban St and Gibbons St.
A police spokeswoman said initial investigations indicated one of the vehicles was linked to a robbery.
The Forensic Crash Unit and Ipswich Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating the incident.
