Police have charged a 59-year-old Karana Downs man following allegations of a brazen sexual assault in Booval last month.
On Thursday morning, detectives with the Ipswich Criminal Investigation Branch executed a search warrant at the man’s home, where he was charged with one count of sexual assault and removed from the premises without incident.
Police will allege that on November 27, at about 2.45pm, the man approached a woman on South Station Rd near the intersection with Sloman Street and proceeded to touch her in an inappropriate manner.
The man then fled the scene in a faded green 2000 Holden Rodeo ute.
He has been released on bail and will appear before the Ipswich Magistrates Court on January 16.
Police have urged anyone with information relating to this incident or any other incidents involving the man or vehicle to come forward.
