Driver charged after highway crash

A CAR ran off a notorious stretch of the Cunningham Hwy this morning, rolling onto its side as it crashed off the road.
Police and emergency services were called to an area between Aratula and the helipad on the highway about 8.40am, after a truck driver watched a nearby car come to grief in a single vehicle smash on the Warwick-bound lanes.
Luckily for the driver, no serious injuries were reported.
The crash did result in some delays for motorists however, with one west-bound lane blocked for about an hour.
Police say they issued the driver a ticket for failing to maintain proper control of their vehicle.
