Three men and a teenager allegedly involved in the fatal shooting of Ipswich dad Christopher Anderson have had their cases mentioned in court, more than a year after the deadly incident.

Mr Anderson, 36, was shot in the chest outside his home on Old Logan Rd at Gailes in broad daylight on Saturday, July 10.

Three days later, four men were arrested after police released CCTV footage of a Holden Commodore getaway car which had a black bonnet and black rims.

The men, Shaun Jason Birt, 28, Markiss Graham John Moffatt Cleary, 19, Aidan Eden Pascoe, 31, and Larkin Dwayne Moffatt, 21, have been remanded in custody and appeared in Ipswich Magistrate Court on Wednesday, August 10.

The court heard DNA was provided as part of the brief of evidence but the men’s lawyers were waiting for the Department of Public Prosecutions to disclose phone records and conversations.

Representing Mr Moffatt, Legal Aid principal Alexis Oxley said her team could not move forward without seeing the phone records.

“We anticipate that there will be an application made to cross examine witnesses,” she said.

“But we still need to finalise our client’s instructions which we can’t complete until we have the outstanding material.”

Crown prosecutor Matthew Hendry said it would take a week to get the records to the defence teams as the telecommunications had to first go through a redaction process.

“[Also] there are currently four statements outstanding, all of which are police statements,” prosecutor Hendry said.

Legal Aid Queensland solicitor Chelsea Cross said her client, 19-year-old Moffatt-Cleary, had a different case to his co-accused and requested extra time to assess his evidence.

Magistrate Dennis Kinsella agreed to allow more time for the parties to finalise their positions before cross examinations.

Ms Kinsella remanded all four men in custody and adjourned their matters for a committal mention in October.
