Chemical leak at Lowood Pool
LOWOOD residents have been asked to self-evacuate after a chemical leak at the Lowood Pool.

10:30AM EVACUATED Lowood residents have been advised they can return to their homes.
An exclusion zone was established around the Lowood swimming pool from about 7am and the road closed.
Somerset mayor Graeme Lehmann said it is understood there was no chemical spill at the site however a strong smell of chlorine was detected.
The site has now been declared safe however the pool is expected to remain closed for at least the rest of today.
9:00AM LOWOOD residents have been asked to self-evacuate after a chemical leak at the Lowood Pool this morning.
Fire and rescue, police and ambulance services are at the scene and have stressed there is no immediate threat to homes in the area and the situation was in-hand.
An exclusion zone has been established around the swimming pool on Main Street with Queensland Fire and Rescue and Police on the scene.
About 7am this morning, a strong smell of chlorine was detected.
Somerset Regional Council staff are also on the scene and assisting authorities where possible.
