Highgate Hill e-scooter crash: Male rider dies after crash on Gladstone Rd
A 27-year-old man has died after the e-scooter he was travelling on crashed in Brisbane’s south. It comes two days after another male rider died in hospital following a December 22 crash.

A man has died after the e-scooter he was travelling on crashed on a main road in Highgate Hill late Saturday night, making it the second such fatality in two days.
The Forensic Crash Unit was called to Gladstone Rd just after 8pm on Saturday following multiple reports of an e-scooter rider with serious injuries.
The 27-year-old man was transported to hospital but died from his injuries on Sunday.
Investigators are working to establish how the man sustained his injuries but are not seeking any other vehicles of interest at this time.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have been driving in the area of Gladstone Rd between 8pm and 8.30pm, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
Investigations are continuing.
It comes just two days after a 28-year-old Griffin man succumbed to his injuries in hospital following his e-scooter’s collision with a car on December 22.
