Griffin man, 28, dies in hospital after e-scooter crash at Lawnton

A man has died in hospital after his e-scooter collided with a car north of Brisbane just before Christmas.

An e-scooter rider has died after days battling critical injuries following a collision with a car just before Christmas.

The 28-year-old Griffin man was riding an e-scooter in Lawnton in Moreton Bay on December 22 when, at approximately 7:30pm, he collided with a car at the corner of Gympie Rd and Lawnton Pocket Rd.

The driver of the car was not injured and assisted police with inquiries as the critically injured man was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

He has since died due to his injuries and the Forensic Crash Unit is continuing investigations.
