Xavier Webb, the nine-year-old Goomeri boy who suffered severe burns to 60 per cent of his body after a freak petrol fire accident on July 8, is no longer in a serious condition, a Queensland Children’s Hospital spokesperson said on Wednesday.
The news comes after Xavier was involved in a terrible accident while playing at a Goomeri property last Thursday night, which left him with severe burns to his face, body and windpipe.
He was flown to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition, where his family have remained by his side ever since.
Xavier is expected to remain in an induced coma for several weeks.
