A recent spate of crashes in the Gympie region continued early this morning, when a woman became trapped in her car after slamming into a tree at Pomona.
Paramedics, including critical care were called to the scene of a reported single-vehicle into tree crash on Jampot Creek Road just after 5am Saturday morning (June 12).
Sources revealed a woman was initially trapped in her vehicle at the scene, before being freed and later transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with abdominal and pelvic injuries.
The woman was in a stable condition, according to the Queensland Ambulance Service.
The crash came after two men, one a teenager, were taken to hospital after a car slammed into an embankment at Amamoor, south west of Gympie last night.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics were called to the scene on Dobson Rd and the Mary Valley Link Rd at about 7.05pm, treating both patients at the scene for chest injuries.
Both men were transported from the scene to Gympie Hospital, both in a stable condition.
