The Gympie Times has launched its quest to find the most popular Prep teacher of 2025.

Prep teachers play a formative role in getting our youngest students ready for the rest of their school career.

They lay the foundation for young boys and girls in their lifelong education journey, and the best educators among them instil a love of learning early on.

We asked our readers on Facebook to nominate their favourite Prep teachers around Gympie, and plenty of names were brought forward - many teachers had multiple nominations.

Below is our shortlist of the top 13, with some heartwarming comments attached.

You can vote in the poll below the list.

The poll will stay open until midnight on Monday night.

Congratulations to all our nominees and good luck to:

Casey Mansfield at Gympie South State School — “she is a one of a kind teacher, kind, nurturing, patient and the kids adore her!”
