Disturbing video has emerged after a teenage boy was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with “life-threatening” injuries following a crash on Bradys Rd, near Gympie, on Sunday.
The incident happened at 1.04pm, with emergency services responding to the scene.
According to a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson, the young rider sustained serious back injuries and was flown to the Sunshine Coast University hospital for urgent medical care.
The accident occurred on Bradys Rd in Curra, about 15 km north of Gympie.
The motocross track, MX Farm Queensland, on the same road, was hosting the seventh round of the Penrite ProMX Championship at the time.
A video capturing the aftermath of a crash, taken by Bernalyn Molieta, shows a rider lying face down on the ground with three bikes scattered across the track.
Crews could be seen carefully rolling the rider onto his back before placing him on a stretcher and loading him into a nearby vehicle.
Ms Molieta confirmed the rider was taken to the hospital but was unsure of his condition.
It is unconfirmed that the incident captured on video is the same teenager who was flown to the Sunshine Coast.
