Students across the Gympie region eagerly woke to check their ATAR results on Friday morning. Here is how one school faired:

On Friday morning, Gympie graduates across the region woke to their ATAR results after completing their final year of school.
Across Queensland, 27,277 students received an ATAR, with 32 students holding a top score of 99.95.
In the Gympie region, St Patrick’s College principal Mark Newton shared the statistics of his graduating classes results, calling the numbers “fabulous”.
He said of the students who consented to having their results shared, five per cent of the cohort received top marks of 99 and above.
A further 42 per cent of the cohort received a score of 90 and above, and 50 per cent of the cohort received a score of 80 and above.
ATAR results specific to each school are confidential unless consent is given from the student for their result to be made public.
