Road closures for Anzac Day 2024

Anzac Day 2024 road closures listed for Bundaberg, Bargara, Biggenden, Gympie, Tin Can Bay, Rainbow Beach, Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Gayndah and Mundubbera.

Ahead of Anzac Day services across the Wide Bay Burnett on April 25, police are reminding drivers of upcoming road closures.

Large crowds are expected to attend services throughout the morning and police will be present at many of the public events to maintain safety and traffic control.

With many roads closed, and extra people out and about, please remember to be vigilant and drive with caution and to the conditions.

Motorists can expect delays and traffic congestion around the following road closures.

Road closures and approximate timings for events are as follows:

Bargara road closures between midnight and 8am

The Esplanade, approximately 60m north and south of the Bauer Street intersection (between Kacy’s Motel driveway and Silverpoint Apartments driveway)

The Esplanade, between Whalley Street and Kacy’s Motel driveway and between Burkitt Street and Silverpoint Apartments

Bargara road closures from 4.30-5.30am:

Bauer Street, between Grimwood Street and See Street including Bauer, Tanner and Holland Sidestreet access

Biggenden road closures from 8.30-10am:

Biggenden Road, intersection of Edward street and Victoria street

Victoria Street, down to Frederick Street and the intersection

Bundaberg road closures from 4-10.30am:

Bourbong Street, between Maryborough and Tantitha Street

Barolin Street, between Bourbong Street and Woongarra Street

Barolin Street, between Quay Street to Bourbong Street

Bourbong Street, between Walla Street to Barolin Street
