A farmer who has broken his ribs and pelvis when his tractor rolled over at a Kandanga farm has extraordinarily managed to free himself from the wreck and drive to a neighbouring property for help.
A Lifeflight spokeswoman said the Kandanga man, in his 40s, was working on his property early Thursday morning when the vehicle rolled, first throwing him from the seat and then driving over legs and abdomen.
Despite the injuries, the man was able to climb back into the tractor’s seat and drive to a neighbour’s home for help.

A Queensland Ambulance Services spokesman said the man suffered injuries to his chest, abdomen and shoulder.
Emergency services were then called to the property, off Main St, about 8.30am.
He was then flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
