Winning Moves is bestowing a new honour on Gympie, the town that saved Queensland, by releasing a Monopoly Gympie edition.
The city-personalised Monopoly game will put well-known landmarks, buildings and businesses onto a board where a roll of the dice could see a player spend a turn or two in the Gympie Watchhouse (Jail), pay their rates (taxes), build their own Mary Valley Railroad empire, or compete with other players to become the new Mary St property mogul. The possibilities are endless.

Community Chest and Chance cards are even up for suggestions.

What will be placed on the board, though, is up to local residents.
“Whether it’s the Gympie Railway Station, the Gold Mining & Historical Museum or Gympie Regional Gallery, we’re open to it all,” Winning Moves representative Jaime-Lee De Niet said.
