Ever had the dream of being the local town publican, pouring beers on hot days and finding out about all the local gossip with a friendly regular or three?
Pubs are the heart of many regional Queensland towns, drawing friends, family, visitors, locals and strangers under the same roof. They mark all types of events from milestone celebrations, to the regular 5pm coldie and even the more sombre moments of loss and grief.
They also mark history over time, and multiple young and old lovers have met over a pint at the local, with relationships lasting anything from a few moments to decades.
‘Dangerous decision’: Man fined thousands for feeding dingoes
In contrast to the many joyous occasions had in pubs, they also mark darker ones, and the pubs in the Wide Bay Burnett have hosted stories of true crime, animal hunting, fights, disaster, murder mystery and hauntings.
Whether you want to imagine a life as a local publican or are a serious buyer with the cash to front your dreams, check out our full list of pubs for sale in the Wide Bay Burnett as of mid-September 2023.
