Police charge Woolooga man over alleged weed stash in freezer
Two police call-outs to a regional Gympie home have ended in charges for a man after officers allegedly first seized his gun, then found his weed stash.

Police have allegedly seized more than 1kg of marijuana from a Gympie Region man the day after reportedly confiscating his firearm following reports of “disturbing” behaviour at the property.
In a statement police said on Monday, June 23 officers received information about an unregistered firearm, leading them to allegedly locate and seize a rifle and ammunition from a property on Edwards Rd, Woolooga.
Police then received reports of a man damaging property on Edwards Road and shouting threats around 10.30am the following day, June 24.
Upon arrival at the same address police alleged they first located the 69-year-old man with an axe handle, and then found and seized 1.124kg of marijuana in his freezer after searching the property.
The 69-year-old was arrested and charged with going armed in public as to cause fear, trespassing, and possession of dangerous drugs.
The man is due to appear in Gympie Magistrates Court on July 21.
Police said investigations are ongoing.
