Pest banned for life, fined $1000 after Imbil incident

Hoons, drink drivers and pests have felt the long arm of the law in the Mary Valley in recent weeks, following multiple complaints to police.
In Imbil, a 63-year-old man was banned from a local licensed venue and fined almost $1000 for being a public nuisance, after an alleged incident at the venue on February 7.
Just up the road in Amamoor, a 29-year-old Gympie man was caught doing a burnout on Dobson Road on February 8, and fined $516 and lost his car for three months.
On February 9, police were called to a property on the Mary Valley Road at Brooloo in regards to a neighbourhood dispute.
When they got there they stopped a vehicle and a 54-year-old man blew over the legal limit, registering a blood alcohol concentration of 0.09 per cent at the Gympie police station.
He will face Gympie court on Thursday, March 6.
A roadside breath test at Imbil busted another drink driver on February 24, when a 52-year-old Kandanga man was found to be driving more than three times the limit, at 0.167 per cent.
He will face Gympie court on March 20.
