A man accused of stealing tools and $4000 from a major Gympie landscaping business has faced a total of 27 charges in the Gympie court, including supplying meth and supplying GHB, a known ‘date rape drug’.
Michael Ethan Dan, 28, appeared in Gympie Magistrates Court via video-link on Monday, July 18 after he was remanded in custody on June 6, 2022 for five drug related charges.
Mr Dan was charged after he allegedly broke into Campbells Truck and Bobcat and Landscape Supplies on May 31, and stole power tools, clothing and $4000.
He is accused of breaking into Campbells Truck and Bobcat and Landscape Supplies a total of four times that day.
Mr Dan also allegedly stole a car between May 31 and June 5, and a tip-truck on May 31, the court heard.
Between April 24 and May 24, he allegedly had a rifle in his possession, and was charged with four counts of supplying weapons, including a handgun and a shotgun.
Mr Dan was also charged with several drug dealing offences, including eight counts of supplying methamphetamine, one count of supplying GHB and one count of supplying testosterone.
He allegedly had instructions on how to create GHB, a mobile phone and a set of scales used to supply drugs, the court heard.
He also had morphine, GHB and methamphetamine in his possession, it was alleged.
Duty lawyer Chris Anderson told the court Mr Dan intended to contest the facts in relation to the charges.
Mr Dan’s matter was adjourned to October 31, 2022.
