Lawyers for a Murgon father charged with manslaughter over the snakebite death of his son in 2021 are now delving into police evidence on the matter, a court has heard.
Kerrod John Frahm, 31, was charged with manslaughter by police in November 2022, over the death of his 11-year-old son Tristian in November 2021.
Police allege the 31-year-old Mr Frahm failed to seek medical attention after the boy was bitten by a snake while the pair were at a friend’s property.
They allege he did not take Tristian’s claims that afternoon seriously and failed to seek medical attention.

The boy’s body was found the next morning outside a shed he had been sleeping in.
Tristian was a loved member of his family, described as a “little hero” and an “angel” by one of his close relatives following the tragedy.
Mr Frahm did not enter a plea during his first appearance at Murgon Magistrates Court on December 6, 2022.
Outside the courthouse following that appearance, lawyer Andrew Bale challenged the police case against his client.

On Tuesday, March 7, 2023, Mr Frahm’s lawyer Annie Bryan, appearing by phone, told the court the police brief of evidence landed in their hands on Monday.
She requested a month-long adjournment to examine the material and begin exploring cross-examinations.
Mr Frahm did not appear at the court in person.
His matter will return to the Murgon Magistrates Court on April 11, 2023.
His bail was enlarged.
