Glenwood father in court for domestic violence

The Glenwood man also bashed his baby’s mother brutally about the head and face, threatened to kill her and told her to ‘get the f--- in the shower and get the blood off your face’. Read the full horrific details:

A 27-year-old Glenwood father threatened to douse his baby in petrol and set her alight, a court has heard.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty in Gympie Magistrate Court to breaching a domestic violence order three times.

The court was told that on September 27, 2021, while drunk, the man bashed his partner with multiple blows to the head and face, and asked her if she “wanted to be a smart C---”.

He then punched her several more times with closed fists and threatened to kill her while holding two knives he had picked up from the kitchen.

“Get the f--- in the shower and get the blood off of your face,” he then told her, demanding she repeat these words: “I’m a narcissistic slut who needs to keep her mouth shut”.

The court heard that on October 7, 2021, he accused the victim of stirring him up and told her “you must like walking around with a busted face”. He then spat in her face three times.

When she was leaving for work he took her phone and said she wouldn’t need it for work.

While she was at work, he called her and told her had a jerry can and two lighters ready to go.

Did you ever think when you kissed your daughter goodbye it would be the last time you ever saw her?” he said.

On October 9, 2021, police were called to his house and arrested him.

He appeared in custody on Thursday via videolink.

He was sentenced to 21 months jail, with a parole release date of August 27, 2022.
