Hundreds of preps across the Wide Bay and Burnett are celebrated in our annual My First Year feature gallery for 2023.

The first day and the first year of school are major milestones in every Aussie child’s life and ones that should be cherished.

That’s exactly what we have tried to do in these adorable galleries from almost every single primary school across the Burnett, the Bundaberg region, the Fraser Coast and Gympie.

In total, our photographers visited 150 schools over the course of several weeks to capture the My First Year milestone of 2023, as well as more than a few goofy pics the kids will be able to laugh about together.
