UPDATE:
A LifeFlight rescue chopper airlifted a man to hospital, after his motorbike and a vehicle collided on Saturday May 29.
The male, aged in his sixties, was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, under the care of the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and a QAS Flight Paramedic.
He was transported in a stable condition with significant leg injuries and spinal precautions.
The Land Rover LifeFlight Special Mission helicopter performed this mission as it is currently, temporarily based on the Sunshine Coast, while the familiar blue and yellow RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter undergoes scheduled engineering.
A woman in her 50s who was an occupant in the car was also assessed but declined transport to hospital.
EARLIER:
A motorcyclist has reportedly suffered serious injuries in a crash just kilometres from the site of the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival early this afternoon.
Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics, including critical care, were dispatched to the scene of a crash involving a motorcycle and a car on the Burnett Highway at approximately 12.31pm.
Paramedics were still assessing the man at the scene as of the last QAS media update, although he was said to be a in a stable condition.
