A man in his 40s was airlifted to hospital on Sunday afternoon after he was injured in a motorbike accident at Rainbow Beach.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics were first on scene at 3:32pm and treated the rider for chest and back injuries.

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to the beach, north east of Gympie, just after 4:15pm.
A LifeFlight spokesperson said the man had been travelling with a group of other motorcycle riders along the beach, when his bike hit some wet sand and he lost control.

The patient was flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after being treated at a nearby oval.
He was in a stable condition during the flight, while under the care of a RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic.
