The driver of a 4WD has avoided serious injury following a two car crash which left one on its roof in the middle of a busy main road outside Gympie.

The driver of a 4WD has managed to avoid serious injury after his vehicle flipped onto its roof in a two car crash at Long Flat, about five kilometres south of Gympie.
Queensland Ambulance, Police and Fire and Emergency Services were called to the scene of the crash at the intersection of Mary Valley and Lawson roads about 10.15am Wednesday.
Two people were assessed for injuries at the scene and one, a man, was taken to Gympie Hospital with a hand injury.
