Gympie’s fireys were called out in the early hours of the morning after a heavy vehicle burst into flames

Gympie fireys were forced to make a midnight call to the Mary Valley when a loader burst into flames at the Melawondi Saw Mill.

One crew was called to the scene of the fire at the business on Melawondi Road just before 12.30am.

The loader was reportedly near saw dust when it caught fire.

The burning vehicle was extinguished within minutes and no-one was injured.
