A 47-year-old Gympie region man has been found guilty of choking in a domestic setting, among other charges, in the Gympie District Court this morning.

The jury reached a verdict at about 11.30am, convicting the man of the choking charge as well as two counts of common assault.
The man was found not guilty on two charges of assault occasioning bodily harm, a second choking charge and a second common assault charge.
The jury had retired to consider their verdict just before 5pm on Wednesday afternoon.
The man is due to be sentenced at 12.30pm.
