The University of the Sunshine Coast’s Gympie campus has called “all aspiring scientists, explorers, artists and actors” to take part in action-packed, low-cost eDiscovery sessions over the school holidays.
USC’s Gympie, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast campuses will offer a “packed program” of holiday workshops aimed at students aged between 8 and 15, with hi-tech activities ranging from animating sumo robotic wrestlers to micro-drone adventures.
Budding artists can help craft magical flowers and would-be actors can explore key elements of drama, including improvisation and characterisation.
The workshops will be led by USC academics and experts, innovators and artists from local communities.
The eDiscovery initiative is a partnership between USC and RoboCoast, with funding through a RoboCoast STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Outreach Project grant from the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources.
