A local theatre company is on the lookout for cast members to audition for an all-new musical production to hit the stage in 2021.
Sage Music Academy is looking for performers aged 10 to 18 to audition for an all new sci-fi fantasy musical adventure: Warriors of Sound The Musical.
Academy principal Barney Rodway says he was looking for performers of all types, including dancers, puppeteers and musicians.
“We’re looking for dancers, actors, musicians, preferably musicians who can play guitar, drums, bass and vocalists,” he said.
“It doesn’t matter what school they go to, it’s an empowering initiative for Gympie youth.”
Auditions are to be held on Saturday, June 19, at the Cooloola Christian College Performing Arts Hall.
Mr Rodway describes the production as a sci-fi fantasy musical.
“It’s a School of Rock meets Star Wars musical adventure,” he said.
