Despite dark clouds overhead and the occasional shower, eager punters headed to the Gympie turf club dressed to impress for the first Gympie race day for 2022.
Saturday’s race day, the La Mode Hair and Beauty 100 Club Cup, was supposed to be the second race day of the year, but the first race day in March was cancelled due to the February floods.
Despite this, however, eager punters braved the rain and gloomy weather to celebrate.
