An early bird discount remains on offer for this year’s special, retro-themed edition of the Relay for Life, to be held at the Gympie South State School in late October.
Event organisers said this week the Gympie community will unite under the stars, “raise vital funds and share their hope for a future free from cancer” as the Relay comes to the South school from 12pm to 9pm on October 30.
“With a retro theme and an incredibly passionate, motivated community, this Relay for Life will make an incredible difference in the lives of people impacted by cancer,” a Cancer Council spokesman said.
“Relay is a chance for the Gympie community to recognise and celebrate local cancer survivors, patients and their carers, to honour and remember loved ones lost to cancer and to raise money to help save more lives.
“Together, we are stronger than cancer – join Gympie Relay For Life today.”
A 25 per cent discount on registrations will be on offer until a week before the event, closing on October 22.
