Gympie CBD crashes overnight, four taken to hospital
Emergency crews had barely arrived on the scene of one accident in the heart of Gympie when a teenage driver collided a tree less than a kilometre away.

Four people were taken by ambulance to Gympie Hospital on Tuesday night after two car accidents occurred in the heart of Gympie, 15 minutes and about 650m apart.
At 7.33pm on Tuesday, two cars crashed at the corner of Fern St and Lawrence St. Three people were taken to the Gympie Hospital, all in a stable condition.
Fifteen minutes later, at 7:48pm, the QAS was called to another traffic crash at the corner of Horseshoe Ben and Musgrave Street, where a teenage driver had hit a tree.
The teenager was transported to the Gympie Hospital also in a stable condition.
Earlier on Tuesday, another person was taken to hospital in a stable condition following a two-car collision on the Mary Valley Highway at 5.23pm.
Sunshine Coast Health confirmed that all patients had since been discharged and there were no long-lasting injuries.
