Four fire crews fight Gympie region factory blaze overnight

Four fire crews were called out to battle and contain a structure fire believed to have occurred at a Laminex factory in the Gympie region overnight.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Service media sources on Tuesday confirmed crews were dispatched to the scene of a structure fire on Laminex Rd in the Toolara Forest area at about 10pm on Monday night (August 9).
A QFES spokeswoman said there was a “commercial structure fire” at the plant, but officers were able to contain the blaze to one building.
The spokeswoman said the fire was “all out” and the structure marked safe at about 11.40pm, and the fire crews left the scene soon after.
