A Gympie business owner has thrown her hat in the ring to win the love of a heartthrob farmer on the new season of The Farmer Wants a Wife, which launches on Sunday, September 4.

Erin Dore, 32, is the owner of Petal Head Farm & Florist, and no stranger to the world of farming.

Erin will be vying for the heart of Farmer Benjamin, 33, a sheep grazier from Guyra in New South Wales, and said she was looking forward to showing her creative side in the pursuit of love.

“I don’t see myself as your typical farmer and I don’t think Benjamin is either,” she said.

“We both seem to be very creative, which I find to be a really endearing quality, especially when it’s used to express your feelings and emotions.”

Erin Dore worked as an interior designer before returning to her roots in Gympie.

Erin has been based in Gympie since late 2020 and operates her business on the Southside.

She said finding a partner in the area had been a struggle.

“There’s a supply issue for eligible men in Gympie,” she said.

“I haven’t met an age-appropriate single man in a year.”

The Farmer Wants a Wife will air on Channel Seven from Sunday, September 4.
